We have designed another program for those, who don’t see ”sitting still” as an option. So get your walking boots ready because there are plenty of places with outstanding natural beauty to discover. The experienced and licensed staff of the National Park will guide you up to mountain tops to enjoy the views, through valleys where rivers cut through, even down to the Baradla Showcaves for a 5-mile walk to see the most beautiful formations and to breathe the clearest air. After a tiring day just enjoy a cup of tea in the shades of our walnut trees in beautiful sunny Hungary.

Day one: Would it be a great idea to start with a taster session of Hungarian cuisine, all meals are cooked the traditional way and there will be a bit of Palinka to go down with it

Day two: a vistit to the Castle of Krasznahorka, the Medieval castle has a beautiful mountaintop location and a vast Hungarian history in Slovakia, which is well worth discovering. Walking: a 3-mile walk up to the caste. In the afternoon: a 6-mile walk to discover the valleys and rivers of the Slovak-Karszt National Park.

Total length: 9 miles, type: walking, level: moderately hard

Day three: Baradla Showcaves with one of the most enormous stalagmites in Europe ”The Observatory” and the music in the ”Hall of the Giants” in the afternoon you can enjoy the views from a traditional horse-drawn carriage as a stud of Hucul horses graze free in the valleys. Walking: a 5-mile underground walk to see the most beautiful formations and to breathe the clearest air. In the afternoon: a 5-mile walk to see as the stud of Hucul horses grazing free in the Aggtelek National Park.

Day four: Walking and climbing up to the Fortress of Szád and to the ”ghost village” of Derenk, rolling hills, valleys, leafy riversides and crystal clear springs. Walk: a 10-mile walk.

Total length: 10 miles, type: walking and Nordic walking, level: moderate, it only gets hard as we approach the fortress

Day five: The cave spa in Miskolctapolca, a unique opportunity to enjoy the spa underground
